Refund Policy

At Grid Magic, Inc., we specialize in enterprise-grade software engineering for field-service businesses. Due to the highly customized nature of our development process, our refund policy is strictly defined by project milestones and the Master Services Agreement (MSA) signed prior to commencement of any work.

1. Engineering Retainers and Initial Deposits

All initial deposits required to commence engineering work, architectural planning, and infrastructure provisioning are non-refundable. These fees cover the immediate allocation of engineering resources, architectural design time, and initial cloud infrastructure setup.

2. Milestone-Based Payments

Payments made upon the completion of agreed-upon milestones (e.g., prototype delivery, backend integration, UAT phase) are non-refundable once the milestone deliverable has been presented and signed off by the client.

3. Cancellation of Ongoing Development

If you choose to terminate a development project prior to completion, you are responsible for paying for all engineering hours logged and third-party expenses incurred up to the date of cancellation. Any surplus from pre-paid retainers, after accounting for logged hours and expenses, will be refunded within 30 days of the termination notice.

4. Maintenance and Hosting Agreements

For ongoing monthly maintenance, hosting, or API access agreements, you may cancel at any time with a 30-day written notice. We do not offer prorated refunds for the current billing cycle during which the cancellation is requested.

5. Exceptional Circumstances

In the rare event that Grid Magic, Inc. fails to deliver a core requirement outlined in the Statement of Work (SOW) due to our own technical limitations, and remediation is deemed impossible, a partial refund may be negotiated in good faith, proportional to the undelivered scope.
